Animated Video and Effects Work

3D Work

Animation of three ugly killers after each other in a Spy vs Spy kind of situation.
Characters were modeled, rigged, and animated by me. The environment and characters were created and rigged in Maya then moved to Motion Builder for animating. Weapons modeled in 3DSmax

This exercise is a simple hand shake animation to practice two characters interacting. These characters were provided .

This animation is a dance/ fight scene. originally it was just a dance, but I added a bit of a tussle between the two.

Multiple walk cycles were done with each character having its own unique movements. It was especially challenging to make the wall crawl look believable

This one is a simple go at animating a character that has been rigged using a biped system. I went for a disgruntled employee. the scene and models are my own excluding the character which is an Unreal Development Kit model. Which are available here

2D Work

This 2D project was an exercise using Harmony. The objective was to create a(n) (at least) 30 second short  with two characters interacting. All characters are rigged. Harmony is a version of Toon Boom Software.

Manhattan Blue was a collaborative piece which two classmates (Cody Stoneroad and Dan Ault) and I worked for 11 weeks to plan, test, and finalize a short animation piece of at least 1 minute. It was a delight to work on this size of a production after previously working on 15 and 30 second shorts. By the end of the project we had a good 4 minute short. On this project I worked on the script, concepts, backgrounds, and painting.

Video Effects Work
This was my first stop motion piece that took a little over two weeks to  storyboard, construct backgrounds, film and then edit together a total of 651 pictures about 30 seconds of footage. This was done back in 2010.

Earlier this year I took the original stop motion photo frames and reassembled them in Adobe Premiere with a different frame rate. In Adobe After Effects I added background music and a few special effects from various tutorials. The final product was much more satisfying
